About the Author
Personal
I grew up in rural western New York, the third of six children in a family of Florida transplants. I have been a writer since I held my first crayon. Even in those pre-alphabet days I wrote constantly... page after page of deliberate loops and curls, with an occasional zigzag for emphasis.
My earliest frustration - oops! I mean inspiration - came from my brothers and sisters. Loud and loveable, they were always there. Always. Everywhere.
My husband and I live near Lake Ontario in New York. Although the winters can seem long, it's a great place to experience all four seasons. I do a lot of writing at the lake. There's nothing like sitting on the rocks with my feet in the water to refresh my creativity.
I am a musician by nature and a flutist by training. If my fingers aren't flying over the computer keyboard they're probably running through a Mozart or Vivaldi piece. Or I may be in the kitchen, inventing a new recipe.
